Litters and Planned Litters
We are planning a litter for Whisky in 2024. If you’d like to join our waiting list please get in touch.
We have a litter very occasionally to maintain our very lovely line. Any pups that are available from a litter will be brought up following the kennel club assured breeders guidelines, and more. Contracts are discussed in great detail. Every pup will be endorsed, vaccinated, health checked, registered withheld Kennel Club and microchipped as a minimum before going to their new home.
Every owner has 24/7 access to me via phone and in person if they need to for reassurance and advice. I have opened my doors at 11pm to give some reassurance to owners and have met down the vets for group vaccinations and check-ups. I hope by fostering this relationship, any owner can come to me at any time with any issue, knowing that I will listen and help without judgement.
All new owners will be invited to join a Whatsapp group for their puppies, where they can share images, stories and get to know each other, having each other has been proven to be very supportive.
When asking about a puppy I will ask you a lot of questions about your circumstances, your reasons for wanting a beagle and your experience. I will encourage you to join Facebook pages to see daily Beagle endeavours and visit a local beagle group meet up, so you can experience first-hand the joys of beagles. I will want to meet you and get to know you, see how you interact with our beagles and check out your back garden. I will do this via google maps or if you are local a visit to your home. I do all of this, which may seem a little over the top to ensure the wellbeing of my puppies.
I carefully select new owners based on my gut feeling and a points system. Together these two systems have worked well so far. If, on the rare occasions circumstances change I will always take a dog back, at any age for any reason, no judgements made here. I want my new owners to know that my dogs can always come home, I never want to see them on a website for sale.
For whatever reason I don’t think you are suitable, I will discuss the reasons why, I will always be honest, if I think you need a Labrador, I will say. You need to be a special type of person, full of humour to own a beagle. They have so much love to give, but at the same time you need to be tolerant of their quirks.
If you want to find out if a beagle is for you, or whether you can change some parts of your life so a beagle can be for you, please do ring me and I will happily discuss with you and talk out your thoughts with you.
Your new puppy will be allowed to go home with you when they are ready, this can be between 9 – 12 weeks, each puppy will have a detailed contract sent with them, which will be talked through prior to purchasing to ensure you are clear on the commitment you are making, and my commitment to you.
Puppies will be endorsed, this means that you will not be able to breed Kennel Club registered puppies from them without me lifting it, if you are looking for a breeding puppy please let me know at the time of initial enquiry. This is done to ensure all puppies are careful bred and bred to improve the breed – it isn’t easy selecting the right dogs and I seek expert advice for my stud choices.
The contract will have all the details needed to look after your puppy in the first few months, but I am always at the other end of the phone.
I will discuss with you which vaccine manufacturer our vet uses so that you can find a vet to provide one similar, this will mean that your puppy wont have to restart their injections when they arrive at their new home.
Your puppy will be microchipped and KC registered. Our beagles are fed on Royal Canin and we will provide a voucher for you to obtain your puppy pack from them once a deposit has been made. If you are intending on feeding raw please let me know so that I can start your puppy on raw and we will discuss which product I use so you can stock up, it will likely be nutriment.
Your puppy will be well socialised and introduced to regular household noises.
All puppies will be health checked before leaving us and during our stay with us will visit the vets whenever needed. Our veterinary surgery is just a minute away, and we are lucky to have a 24/7 animal hospital so very close to us.
I recommend purchasing the all new Beagle Handbook, recently updated with behaviour and training advice from Kellie Wynn (The Beagle Lady) . You can purchase from Amazon here.
